I feel privileged to be able to take part in launching the website of EC funded FoSHoL project. I find unique characteristics of the FoSHoL project under which 3 well recognized NGOs are involved in implementation of similar and diverse interventions for improving household food security of over 42,500 resource-poor in 36 Upazilas in 15 Districts. The uniqueness of the activities of the project is the coordination in the diversity of approach to achieve the common goal of reducing hunger and poverty of these vulnerable rural people.
The objectives of the FoSHoL project are consistent with the Government's poverty reduction strategies and pro-poor development embedded in EC's policy on development cooperation.
We are happy to observe Bangladesh achieving substantial improvement in many important social and development indicators.
This FoSHoL website is a very good example of EC's overall visibility strategy and policy on communication and information sharing.
I thank all those partner organizations of the FoSHoL project who have very successfully developed this very useful IT tool. I wish all success of FoSHoL project.
