Third Programme Consultative Committee (PCC) of FoSHoL-Programme held

   

The third meeting of FoSHoL Programme Consultative Committee (PCC) was held on 23 January 2008 in the Conference Room of Hotel Castle Salam in Khulna. Dr. Klaus-Dieter Gautsch, 1 st Secretary and Head of Section, EC Delegation conducted the meeting as a chairman. All PCC members and/or their representatives, team leaders of FoSHoL-NGOs, three representatives from EC, Mr. Stephane David (Attache and Program Manager, Food Security), Mr. Massimo La Rosa (Attache and Programme Manager, Food Security) and Mr. Manjurul Alam (Food Security Adviser) were present.

The team leaders of the four components of the FoSHoL-Programme presented the progress reports of their respective FoSHoL-projects and thoroughly discussed the progresses, achievements and constraints of the projects. Discussion on the findings of mid-term review team was also made. There was a minor disagreement on couple of points of the MTR reports, as reported in the meeting by the team leaders of FoSHol programme components. Dr. Zainul Abedin also presented the Annual Work Plan and Budget 2008 of FoSHoL-Coordination/IRRI project. The meeting approved the proceedings of the 2nd PCC meeting and accepted in principles the AWPB-2008 of FoSHoL-Coordination/IRRI. Finally, it was decided that the 4th PCC meeting will be held in an appropriate date during April-May 2008 in FoSHoL-CARE, Rajshahi.

The meeting was held soon after two days long field visit to FoSHoL-Actionaid project sites during 21-22 January 2008, in which Ms. Francoise Collet (1st Counsellor and Head of Operations, EC delegation) and Ms. Farah Kabir (Country Director, ActionAid) and most of the PCC meeting participants took part and understood about the ongoing activities, achievements and sustainability of the project.
