| A mid-term evaluation of FoSHoL Programme has been progressing since 25 September 2007 and will continue up to 28 October 2007. The external evaluation team consists of two members. Ms Sarah Gray, a senior consultant from UK is performing her responsibility as a Team Leader and Mr. Bhabatosh Nath, a local consultant is working as a member of the evaluation team. After extensive field visit to selected FoSHoL-NGO's project site in Faridpur, Madaripur, Rajshahi, Naogaon, Jamalpur, Noakhali, the mid-term evaluation team met the FoSHoL-Coordination/IRRI project team at IRRI Bangladesh office on 17 October 2007 evening. In response to several questions and comments of Ms Sarah Gray and Mr. Nath, Dr. M. Zainul Abedin explained the history of FoSHoL-Programme, past, present and future output/activities of FoSHoL-Coordination/IRRI Project. The relevant documents produced from FoSHoL-Coordination projects were given to the evaluation team to help prepare their report. On the following day, the evaluation team also met the FoSHoL-PNGOs field team leaders at IRRI office where a day-long workshop was facilitated by Mr. Fazlul Hoque, Programme Coordinator, Training Division of BRAC.
SWOT analysis was done to obtain necessary information at the end of the workshop.
Separately, the Team Leader of FoSHoL-Coordination, Dr M. Zainul Abedin met the workshop participants and requested them to send their expectations, suggestions, etc. so that FoSHoL-Coordination/IRRI could help improve the livelihood of farmers in a more effective way. |
