FoSHoL-CARE organized a sharing session on the findings of the 1st cycle of its baseline study on October 9, 2006 at the hall room of Nanking Darbar Hall, Rajshahi. The main objectives of this session were to present the findings to enrich existing information flow on development issues of the Barind Tract and to learn through interactive discussion based on the findings.
The session was attended by the representatives of different government and non government service agencies; national, international and UN organizations; media; local NGO partners of FOSHoL-CARE and CARE Bangladesh.
Mr. Mizanour Rahman Choudhury, Project Coordinator, FoSHoL-CARE has delivered the opening speech. Mr. M. Zakaria, Technical Coordinator-Monitoring and Evaluation, FoSHoL-CARE has presented the findings while Dr. Tapash K. Biswas, Postdoctoral Fellow, FoSHoL-Coordination has moderated the question-answer and open discussion session.
FoSHoL-CARE conducted this baseline study in February-March 2006 and finalized the report in September 2006. The study findings represent the participant (project) households of 1 st cycle implementation and non-participant (control) households and the related working areas of 3 Districts of the Barind Tract. |
