Second meeting of the FoSHoL-CARE Project Steering Committee (PSC) was held on May 22 , 2006 at Chez-Razzak Conference Centre, Padma Abashik Elaka, Rajsjhahi. The committee was formed by the FoSHoL-CARE in the first meeting on February 8, 2006 with representatives from the service delivery agencies of the region.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Md. Lal Mahamud, Additional Director-DAE. Mr. Mizanour Rahman Choudhury, Project Coordinator, FoSHoL-CARE presented the project progress and facilitated the discussion while Mr. A. N. M. Elias, Technical Coordinator-Innovation and Mr. Hira Lal Nath, Project Development Officer-Technical Coordination of FoSHoL-CARE co-facilitated.

During the discussion the participants from different agencies had shown their keen interest to know and participate in the project activities in the field. They offered their services according to their area of expertise and scope of work to respond to the needs of the food insecure households targeted by FoSHoL-CARE.

The FoSHoL-CARE team members appreciated the support extended by the different service delivery agencies and promised to come up with concrete plans as to how they can utilize the knowledge, expertise and resources of the agencies in a meaningful manner to be able to respond to the need of the targeted households.

A good number of representatives from different service delivery agencies including representative from FoSHoL-IRRI attended the meeting and participated in the discussion.

Mr. Goutam Sarker, Project Manager-Piloting, Ms. Humaira Alif, TC-Group Development, Mr. Gias Uddin, PDO Training, Mr. Fazle Rabbe, MAGD and Mr. Isa Zakaria were present from the FoSHoL-CARE team. Krishibid Md Abdus Salam, FoSHoL-CARE-APEX, Ms. Laila Anjumand Banu of FoSHoL-CARE-LUSTER, Mr. Md. Abdul Khalek, FoSHoL-CARE-UDP, Mr. Md. Saidur Rahman, FoSHoL-CARE-BDO participated from the FoSHoL-CARE local NGO partners.
