FoSHoL-ITDG organized Training on Agro-processing |

FoSHoL-ITDG organized a two-week training from February 1 to 15, 2006 at FHD Training Centre, Jamalpur on Agro-processing Entrepreneurship Development. Twenty one Rural Technology Extortionists including nine women from Faridpur and Jamalpur of FoSHoL-ITDG project attended the training. The training was designed to generate employment by way of providing training to capable group members of FoSHoL-ITDG on food processing utilizing locally available agricultural produces.
TDG provided technical and financial support in organizing and conducting the training. The product and process were selected on individual's interest, availability of raw, processing and packaging materials and existing market opportunities. The participants showed their strong desire to get them involved in agro-processing and post-harvest management activities as a means for income generation. The participants were trained to prepare the following products: |

| The training was conducted in a participatory way. Necessary small equipment and accessories such as refractometer, grinding machine, cream separator, low-cost dryer, impulse sealer, table and kitchen balance, heat gun, measuring cylinder etc. were used in the training. At the end of the training the participants went through a plenary session where they planned what they want to produce depending on their personal capacities and local market potentials.
