FoSHoL-ActionAid Organized Training on Gender and Social Development |
FoSHoL-ActionAid organized a two-day training on Gender and Social Development for the field level workers of its local NGO partners on April 26 & 27, 2006. Total 33 participants from 4 FoSHoL-ActionAid local NGO partners - Speed Trust, NRDS, VARD and ZIBIKA - participated in the workshop. This training was designed as a guide for FoSHoL-ActionAid local partner NGO staff to create awareness on basic concepts of gender providing introductory gender discussion with an attempt to change perceptions, attitude and behaviors into their personal and official work.

Ms. Manashi Hazra, Associate Coordinator-Qualitative Monitoring and Women Empowerment conducted the workshop as the principal facilitator.
Dr. Noel P. Magor and Mr. Ahmad Salahuddin of FoSHoL-IRRI team spoke in the closing session of the training together with Ms. Manashi Hazra and Mr. Mofizur Rahman of FoSHoL-ActionAid. Dr. Magor also handed over Leaf Color Charts (LCC) to the participants on behalf of FoSHoL-IRRI.

The first batch training was held on April 23 & 24, 2006 at Khulna where 25 participants from 2 local NGO partners Uttaran and JJS were trained.
