A 12-day long training on Income Generating Agro-processing for Rural Technology Extensionists was held in Razoir, Madaripur during 8-19 July 2007. Eighteen improved farmers known as RTEs from four districts (Faridpur, Rajbari, Madaripur and Shariatpur) participated in the training. Among 18 participants 9 were female. The technologies and products were selected on the basis of entrepreneur's personal capabilities, availability of agricultural resources and local market demand. The main products prepared during the training were:

• Preservation of "amra"
• Preservation of mango pickle, olive pickle, tomato sauce, tamarind sauce, mango & pineapple squash, tamarind chutney, olive chutney, mango chutney, jujube chutney, mango candy and with toffee.

Appropriate marketing strategies and small business management techniques were also included in the course.
