An experience sharing meeting on System of Rice Intensification (SRI) was held at FoSHoL-ActionAid office on April 12, 2006. The purpose of the meeting was to share SRI activity progress, best practices and recent experiences and to develop future plans. Mr. M. N. A. Dewan, Director (Training), DAE chaired the meeting.
Among others Prof. Muazzam Hossain - Coordinator and Mr. Gopal Chowhan - member of SRI National Steering Committee, Dr. Noel P. Magor FoSHoL-IRRI Project Manager and Mr. Ahmad Salahuddin, Manager-Coordination & Capacity Building , FoSHoL-IRRI and representatives from Oxfam GB, Padakkhep MUK, Abacus, Bangladesh Rice Foundation, Syngenta BD Limited were present in the meeting.
Mr. Indu Bhuson Roy, Coordinator-Farming System and Associate Coordinators were present from FoSHoL-ActionAid. The meeting was jointly organized by SRI National Steering Committee and FoSHoL-ActionAid.
