Mr. Masud Alam Khan, Team Leader of FoSHoL-ActionAid project mentioned that the baseline data collection in other working areas has already been started and would be completed by March 2006. He expressed his hope to prepare the draft baseline survey report by May 2006.

Fourteen participants from two FoSHoL-ActionAid partner NGOs: Speed Trust, Patuakhali and VARD, Sunamganj participated in the training. Among them there were six Community Development Facilitators (CDFs) and one team leader from each NGO. Out of these fourteen participants five were female including one female Team Leader from Speed Trust.

The training program was facilitated by Mr. Khan Areef Ur Rahman, Associate Coordinator-M & E, FoSHoL- ActionAid. Dr. Tapash Kumar Biswas, Postdoctoral Fellow-M&E of FoSHoL-IRRI answered various queries as an external resource person . The training was divided into three stages. In the first stage, all the questions of the baseline survey questionnaire were thoroughly discussed with the participants. The second stage was field testing, where all the participants filled one questionnaire each through interviewing the selected households. For field testing, the participants visited two villages: were Purba Roshnabad and Purba Amirabad of Kalapara Upazila in Patuakhali district. In the third stage, feedback session on filled-in questionnaire was organized. After feedback session it was decided that before starting the real survey all the participants would fill-up one more questionnaire for better understanding.
